Flexible Funding

There is a direct relationship between the likelihood of a positive outcome and time. The significant benefits gained from arranging rehabilitation as early as possible are well documented. The earlier rehabilitation is implemented the more effective it is and the costs are reduced on the overall case.

Medicess recognise that funds for rehabilitation are often unavailable whilst other aspects of the case are being progressed. Whilst these issues are being resolved by the legal parties, the patient is often left in ‘limbo’ with unnecessary pain and suffering. Our flexible approach ensures that the obstacle of funding for effective rehabilitation is removed.

Our unique approach to funding ensures that rehabilitation is rapidly deployed on appropriate cases where there will be clinical and/or vocational benefit, together with a high certainty that funding will eventually be available.

We assess the patient’s needs and produce a report. We then liaise with all parties to help them make clinically informed decisions on the most appropriate funding. The output of this approach will be one of the following:

  • The case proceeds on a joint instructed basis (sometimes without prejudice depending on liability position)
  •  The case proceeds on a single instructed basis either with a single party funding or structured around interim payments
  •  In some cases where there is a complicated liability position we may choose to fund the case up front whilst liability is being resolved

Our flexible approach ensures that the obstacle of funding for effective rehabilitation is removed.
