The following case studies illustrate how Medicess worked on different types of cases and how our involvement and processes benefitted the case. Please contact us for more information.
Mr A is a 35 year old Bench Joiner who sustained a hand injury in the work place whilst using a spindle moulder. He sustained metacarpal fractures and extensor tendon damage to the index and middle fingers of his right hand. He was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery to stabilise his fractures and repair the tendon damage. Mr A was referred to Medicess 4 months post accident. He was still absent from work and had received 6 sessions of physiotherapy under the NHS.
Mr P is a 50 year old self-employed businessman and keen sportsman who lives with his wife and three young children. He sustained multiple, serious and catastrophic injuries in a road traffic accident. Mr P was referred to Medicess one month after the accident. He had received excellent NHS surgical and orthopaedic care and was being followed up in a timely way. However, he was wheelchair dependent and as such he could not return to his own home because of environmental barriers.
